Last Sunday, September 20th, my brother Kirk and I had a great drive down to Pickrem’s family home to attend their annual Open House and social.This was my first time attending the event, and there were lots of old and new friends there to catch up with.Their garage was amazing, with lots of cars and trucks on display. There were also a few current projects under construction, and it was very impressive to see firsthand the quality of work they do.There was a great turnout, with visitors’ cars lining the road and filling the driveway throughout the property.A big thank you to Pickrem family for opening their doors and welcoming everyone. Part 2/2 We attended a fantastic car show in Waterville (Rec Grounds), Nova Scotia last Saturday, hosted by Rick Roode’s Transmission Shop! It was a great day for a road trip, travelling together with my brother Darrell, as well as Jeff and Lori. This was very much a community event and was very well organized by Rick, his staff and all of the volunteers who helped make the day possible. There were lots of great vehicles in attendance, with both fields full! I definitely enjoyed the free hamburger! Thank you very much, Rick! It was a nice touch and very much appreciated. Thank you again to Rick, his staff and all of the volunteers for putting on such a great event.
